New Garmin 405

My Garmin 405 died this week. I went to take it skiing again Friday night and it was dead. No sign of life. It wouldn't even beep when I connected the charger.

I took all the pieces in to Bob, who just bought a new one and he tried the various combinations of cables, chargers, and watches and diagnosed it as the watch.

I dug up the box and receipt and took it back to fleet feet and they handed me a new one.

That's the best customer service I've ever had. And that's why I shop at local shops. I could have got it for a few dollars cheaper on line, but would have had to hassle with the return and been without it for who-knows-how-long.

Movie Review - The Who: Isle of Wight Festival: 1970

I watch a lot of movies while I sit on the trainer. I just watched this one this weekend. It was really good. I need to remember it to watch it again next year.

I was never a who fan at all - for some reason, I thought you had to choose between the mods and the rockers. I chose the rockers and missed on on The Who altogether.

This show was a year after Woodstock and really entertaining. They make a lot of noise, for 3 instruments. Dave really likes Pete Townsend, I think he's great, except when he does his single note solos. When he's going that, he sounds like he's free-associating. There doesn't seem to be any organization to his playing. On the other hand, when he riffing chords, it sounds like big splashes of sound and I dig it.
