Today, Tom and I went up to Aguirre Springs and hiked the trail to the top of the pass. It was a beautiful hike, but let's talk about it as a workout.
Like all normal people, knowing that we wanted to make good time, Tom started out too fast. To go fast, you have to start steady and build. Still, we had a good hike up. But I wanted to run down. It's a beautiful, gentle downhill. I ran 100 yds, then went back for Tom. The walk was nice, but I think there's some fun to be had running on the trails.
